His journey began with Telkom SA, where he initially served as a dedicated and skilled technician. The early years of his career provided Wayne with valuable hands-on experience in the intricacies of light current engineering, setting the foundation for his future success.

In 1997, Wayne took a significant step forward in his career by joining Dupleix Liquid Meters  Flow Control as a Sales Engineer. Here, he demonstrated a keen understanding of metering and control equipment, particularly within the petrochemical industry in Southern Africa. Wayne's ability to navigate the complexities of this sector and his dedication to providing workable solutions led to a series of promotions within the company.

His ascent through the ranks at DLM showcased Wayne's leadership and managerial skills. From the role of Sales Engineer, he progressed to become the Product Manager, overseeing the development and management of critical product lines. His proficiency and commitment continued to earn him recognition, and he further advanced to the position of National Sales Manager.

With a proven track record of success, Wayne Walton was entrusted with greater responsibilities, eventually culminating in his appointment as the General Manager. In this capacity, he assumed leadership over the Flow and Instrumentation divisions of DLM. Wayne's strategic vision and adept management style significantly contributed to the growth and success of these divisions.

Wayne was appointed as a director of the company in 2012. This elevation marked a pivotal moment in his career, signifying the trust and confidence placed in him by the organization. Four years later, in 2016, Wayne Walton reached the pinnacle of his professional journey when he assumed the role of Managing Director.
